Boron constructed Axle Stubs for triads
- The 12mm axle kit is Triads standard axle set and is designed to fit the original 49’er wheelset. It can also be used on the new Vanguard wheelset with the addition of 1215 bearing set.
- This new version now uses improved boron steel construction. The 15mm axle kit is designed specifically for the All New Vanguard wheel set
Use for either 49’er wheels or Vanguards wheels

Note: For Underworld and Notorious the rear axle mounting holes will need to be drilled out to 15mm.

This isn’t exactly a review but more a question about this product… If I buy the 12mm 49er sized axle, can I weld or screw these to a custom rear end, then run the wheels? And if I can, do I need any other additional parts?
Essentially, if I buy this axle and a pair of 49er wheels, weld them to my custom rear can I do some fat skids…?

I would suggest not welding the stubs to a strike as they are heat treated and you may effect the strength of the product causing it to prematurely fail.
What you can do to utilise the function of the axle buy building your sub frame to bolt the stubs axles onto the frame retaining the strength of the Triad product>
A 12mm Hole in 10mm Steel plate is all you need to use the Triad stubs.
I could do have 12mm axles from the Airwalk/ Crane trikes if you could incorporate this into your design and the width of the trike would be about 850mm wide
