Description
For a long time the problem has arisen that the standard “V” brakes are not very GOOD!
- The pressed steel arm “Just doesn’t cut IT ” and the lever well it just compresses into the grips.
- Here is a simple cost effective option:
Quality alloy components.
No need to remove the grips!!!
- A three finger Hinged clamp Alloy lever with spring return and easy access for adjustments on the fly.
- Just remove old lever and swing over the new lever for ease of fitment
- Tektro Sabre, TRP or equivalent will be supplied depending on availability
Alloy brake arms reduces flexing and gives more feedback when braking, with brass bushings for smooth action and ferrous adjustable springs to give that snap back in the cable and aid the levers return.
Installation is recommended with a new linear brake cable however this is optional and reuse of the original huffy cable is OK as long as it is in good working and adjustable order.
Look up instructional video’s on the internet by searching V Brake Installation / Adjustment this will give you all you need to assemble the brake yourself.
Contents:
- Hinged RH or LH lever ( 1 lever per product ) trikes normally have front brake lever on the right!
- left kit is cheaper only because I have to buy levers in pairs and drift trikes only have 1 RH brake
- 1 set of “V” brake arms with fasteners and adjustable pads ( inbox ME for SILVER ARMS )
- Noodle and hood accessories included
I advise to purchase a 1m Cable as well
- 1m Cable Advised
https://slidestar.com.au/wp/shop/jagwire-slick-cable/ - kids levers can be supplied for small hands but these will need the grip removed to install
- LH levers can be installed on the RH but it wont be athtetically pleasing
